Sample Preparation

NGS sequencing sample submission:

For all DNA and RNA submissions, please include an Excel spreadsheet with the following information:

  • tube label
  • sample name (no spaces or special characters except hyphens)
  • volume provided
  • concentration provided (RNA maximum 200 ng/ul)
  • estimated size of genome
  • coverage requested (percentage of run or number of reads)

Samples should be in 1.5 ml eppendorf tubes (or in strip tubes/plates if >24 samples). Tubes should be clearly labeled on top (tube label) and contain at least 20 ul of volume (you may submit your stock DNA/RNA preparation; the remaining volume will be returned*). The amount of DNA/RNA required will depend on the library preparation method requested.

*All DNA/RNA samples are retained for one month after sequencing is complete. We require that you arrange for their pick up during this time, otherwise they will be discarded.

All prepared libraries are retained for one year.
